Country music icon Ray Stevens is recovering at home after breaking his neck in a fall in Nashville on March 29. The 87-year-old was briefly hospitalised and has been ordered to wear a neck brace for four weeks, his team announced on Instagram.
Despite the injury, Stevens remains fully mobile and in good spirits. He is set to release his next album, Favorites Old & New, on Friday via Curb Records.
Stevens, known for his satirical hits like “The Streak,” has won Grammy Awards for “Everything is Beautiful” and “Misty.” He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019 and has worked with legends such as Waylon Jennings and Dolly Parton.
Last year, Stevens suffered a mild heart attack and underwent minimally-invasive heart surgery. Following that, he put his CabaRay Showroom up for sale in August 2025, stating his intention to focus on recording and videos.
