Princess Andre Hints at Parental Reunion as Reality Show Returns for Second Series

Princess Andre, the 18-year-old daughter of celebrities Peter Andre and Katie Price, has teased a potential reunion between her famous parents as her reality television show, The Princess Diaries, makes a highly anticipated return for its second series. In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Princess opened up about the new season, highlighting her journey towards independence and the positive developments in her family dynamics.

New Series Focuses on Independence and Family Bonds

The second series of The Princess Diaries continues to follow Princess Andre's life as she navigates adulthood, with the young influencer and TV star pushing herself outside her comfort zone. She revealed that the show will feature appearances from well-known faces, including her pal Heidi Katona, Heidi's mother Kerry, and her older brother Harvey. Additionally, her brother Junior, 20, plays a more prominent role this season, showcasing their special sibling bond.

Princess explained, "Last series, I turned 18 and it was my journey towards adulthood, so this time you're going to see more of me doing independent stuff. There are things I can't say yet, but it's going to be really exciting." Junior added that the feedback from viewers about their relationship has led to more focus on their dynamic, saying, "We had a lot of feedback about how lovely our brother and sister relationship is, and it showcases that more."

Parental Peace Agreement and Future Hopes

One of the most significant revelations from the interview is the peace agreement reached between Princess's parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price. While they will not appear physically in the second series, Princess expressed optimism about their involvement in a potential third season. She stated, "You'll still see mum and dad in it, just not physically. But the good thing is now my parents have come out with this agreement to be fine, so hopefully season three they will actually be in it. It's so good as now there's just no issues."

Junior echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the family's strength and unity. "We're really strong as a family and excited to just get on with our lives. It's almost better this season that it's more focused on Princess – that is the whole point of the show," he said.

Dealing with Public Scrutiny and False Stories

The siblings also addressed the challenges of living in the public eye, including dealing with false stories and negative attention. Junior shared, "It's not nice when people have bad things to say, especially when it's your family. Our lives are in the public eye, which means we get a lot of attention – some unwanted. This season is more Princess's point of view on things, clearing up a few things, because there's a lot of background noise."

He added that the family has grown resilient over time, stating, "In everything you do, whether you're known or not, you're always going to have people that hate on everything. But we're quite a strong family, and obviously we know what goes on behind closed doors, so it doesn't really affect us."

Personal Life and Future Plans

When asked about her dating life, Princess revealed that she is currently focusing on her career. "To be honest, I'm just focusing on work at the moment, dating isn't really my priority. But who's to say I won't date in the future!" she said. She also spoke warmly about Junior's girlfriend Jasmine, noting their close relationship and how Jasmine makes her brother happy.

The show has already been commissioned for a third series, which Princess described as "so good!" She reflected on the initial skepticism towards the first series and the positive reception it eventually received. "Before the first one came out, there was quite a bit of hate towards it, then people watched it and messaged me after they were like, 'I'm so sorry, this was the best thing I've watched!' There were even dads going, 'You've inspired my daughter,' which is so lovely," she shared.

The Princess Diaries returns on Sunday 8th March at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
