Peter Andre has expressed his horror and devastation after his 18-year-old daughter Princess continues to receive unsolicited graphic images from strangers on social media. The singer and TV personality described feeling 'sick to his stomach' over the vile messages sent to his eldest daughter, who is an influencer.
Princess first revealed the abuse during her reality show The Princess Diaries, where she showed her father the explicit content. In the episode, she told him that men had sent her photos of genitalia and asked to see her feet, with some saying she was 'finally legal now'. Peter admitted he struggles to cope with the situation, stating: 'You know what people are like - you know what the world is like, but it still hits differently when it’s your daughter.'
The 51-year-old father questioned the mindset of those sending such images, saying: 'I just don’t understand at what point men think it’s OK to send photos of their genitalia.' He contrasted this with topless gym photos, which he said might be acceptable in a flirting context, but added that unsolicited explicit images from men are 'gross and stresses me out'.
In the show, Princess handed her phone to Peter, who reacted with tears in his eyes, saying: 'I feel physically sick, like in the pit of my stomach. I didn't know it was going to be that bad.' Princess responded: 'I did tell you.' Peter then asked about the sender's age and location, but Princess said she did not know him and the account had no name.
Peter admitted he should have been stricter about social media use when Princess was younger. He also revealed his own experience with stalking, recalling a threat to his life while on tour with Bobby Brown, which led to 26 police officers surrounding the venue. Princess noted that both her parents have experienced stalking, and she now only posts photos after leaving a location to avoid being tracked.
