Saturday Night Live's cold open this week took aim at Kristi Noem, the former Homeland Security Secretary who was ousted by President Trump. The sketch featured Ashley Padilla as Noem, who insisted she wasn't fired but had 'self-deported.' The skit mocked Noem's recent congressional testimony, where she blamed Trump for her controversial $220 million airport TV ads and office relationships.
Colin Jost played Pete Hegseth, the new Defense Secretary, who rambled about Iran and compared his strategy to playing Grand Theft Auto. The sketch highlighted the administration's chaotic foreign policy, with Hegseth admitting, 'We don't know what we're doing.'
The episode, hosted by Ryan Gosling for the fourth time, also featured musical guest Gorillaz. Gosling's return comes ahead of his upcoming film Project Hail Mary, set for release on March 20.
