Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has shared a video of herself dancing in a bikini while on holiday, following reports that she has been dropped from the upcoming series alongside three other pro dancers.
The Ukrainian dancer, 35, posted the clip on Instagram, showing her dancing by a pool wearing a black and white patterned bikini top and matching black trousers. She held a white flute glass in one hand while waving the other as she moved in the sunshine. The video was captioned to celebrate International Women's Day, with Bychkova writing: 'Celebrating women today and every day. The strength, the joy, the resilience and the beautiful way we lift each other up. And sometimes… a little dance along the way. Happy International Women’s Day.'
The post was quickly flooded with compliments from fans, with one commenting: 'Such a beautiful lady and smile.' Another asked: 'Beautiful. Is what I heard about Strictly sadly true?'
The news of Bychkova's departure emerged after reports that she, along with fellow pros Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas, have all been given the boot. BBC bosses are said to be determined to shake up the show following a number of scandals in recent series, including the departure of hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
A source told The Sun: 'Nadiya is distraught. The news came as such a huge shock as Nadiya’s life was Strictly and to find out she’s not been invited back as full time pro has really broken her heart. No one was expecting producers to chop so many professionals.'
