Mick Jagger Jokes with Fiancée at NYC Ballet Gala

Mick Jagger put on a jovial display as he joined his stunning fiancée Melanie Hamrick at the NYC Ballet's Spring Fashion Gala on Thursday night. The 82-year-old rocker looked cool in a skinny cut suit while his dancer partner, 38, captivated in a silver gown.

Showing off her lithe dancer's physique, Melanie looked breathtaking in the bedazzled gown with a sculpted top. Mick, meanwhile, played the fool, waving at cameras and pulling silly faces while taking his glasses on and off.

The couple have been together since 2014, but it wasn't until April 2024 that Hamrick revealed they got engaged two or three years earlier. In 2016, they welcomed a son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, Hamrick's first child and Jagger's eighth.

Mick is also father to Karis, 55, with Marsha Hunt; Jade, 54, with Bianca Jagger; Elizabeth, 42, James, 40, Georgia, 34, Gabriel, 28, with Jerry Hall; and Lucas, 26, with Luciana Morad Gimenez.

Despite their multi-decade age gap, Hamrick told the Times of London in September 2024 that she doesn't think about it. 'Everyone's going to have their opinion. If you think about others' opinions, no matter where you are in life, you're going to have a problem,' she said.

The couple met serendipitously in February 2014 when both the Rolling Stones and the American Ballet Theatre were on tour in Japan. Hamrick met Jagger backstage at a Stones concert, and they became a couple that June. Since then, they collaborated on a ballet titled Porte Rouge, featuring Hamrick's choreography set to Rolling Stones songs.

The outing comes after Mick joined fellow Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood at the launch of their new album Foreign Tongues in New York on Tuesday. Keith, 82, and Ronnie, 72, were equally stylish on the red carpet.

The 14-track album from Polydor/Universal Music is set for release on 10th July, less than three years after their Grammy-winning Hackney Diamonds. The lead single, 'In The Stars,' will be released digitally on 5th May alongside opening track 'Rough and Twisted.'

Foreign Tongues was recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, with Mick, Keith, and Ronnie reuniting with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt. It includes a special appearance from Charlie Watts, captured during one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021. Additional contributions come from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, The Cure's Robert Smith, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Reflecting on the process, Sir Mick Jagger said: 'I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis. It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could.' Keith Richards added: 'The Foreign Tongues album has a continuity from Hackney Diamonds and it was great to be working in London again.'
