Love Island presenter Maya Jama and her partner, Manchester City defender Ruben Dias, have been targeted by burglars at their multimillion-pound home in Cheshire. The couple were away from the property in Alderley Edge, a village known for its expensive residences and popularity among Premier League players, when the break-in occurred.
Cheshire Police confirmed they were called to the address shortly after 11pm on Wednesday. A spokesperson said officers attended and found that entry had been made and a number of items had been stolen. According to The Sun, Jama and Dias were left devastated by the incident.
At the time, Jama, 31, was in South Africa filming the Love Island spin-off All Stars, while Dias was in Manchester for his team's Champions League match against Galatasaray. The couple confirmed their relationship in April 2025, having reportedly met at the MTV Europe Music Awards the previous year.
Dias, who has played for City since 2020, signed a two-year contract extension in August 2025. Assistant coach Pepijn Lijnders said on Friday: “I didn’t speak with him personally but Ruben will come back on Monday to team training. These are the things you don’t want to happen. We will support him and let’s see how it goes from there.”
Jama is also a judge on ITV's The Masked Singer. Last week, she posted on Instagram to her 3.2 million followers, revealing she has homes in London, the Cotswolds and Cheshire.
