Production for Bravo's Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) has been paused following the death of Mary M. Cosby's son, Robert Jr. Filming for Season 7 was scheduled to begin this week but has been postponed indefinitely.
Cosby confirmed her son's death on social media, writing, 'Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God's promise and in knowing he is finally at peace.' She added, 'We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.'
The entire Season 6 cast, including Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport, were expected to return. It remains unclear whether Cosby will continue with the reality series after her loss.
Cosby and Robert Jr. had been open on the show about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health, earning praise from viewers for their honesty. Bravo expressed its condolences, stating, 'We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Mary's beloved son, Robert Jr. Mary is a cherished member of our family, and our thoughts, love, and deepest condolences are with her and her loved ones.'
Andy Cohen, executive producer of Real Housewives, also shared a tribute on Threads, calling the news 'devastatingly sad' and sending love to Cosby and her husband, Robert Sr.
