Married At First Sight Australia couple Joel Moses and Juliette Chae have puzzled viewers with a sudden turnaround in their relationship, but an unaired date night has now been revealed as the catalyst. The pair, who had been feuding since their wedding, unexpectedly displayed chemistry during the romantic couple's retreat, leaving fans confused.
It turns out the change began on a Friday night before the retreat, when the couple went on a pub crawl. Juliette told the Daily Mail Australia that they visited four different pubs and had their first 'real passionate kiss'. She described the evening as 'giddy and excited and silly', adding that viewers missed seeing that side of them.
Joel confirmed the events, saying they met fellow contestants Scott and Gia at one pub, then returned to their apartment where they 'hooked up a bit and got a bit closer'. Two days later, on Sunday, they had another date night watching movies cuddled up on the couch. Joel admitted 'things were getting better' over that weekend.
Juliette explained that by the time they went on the retreat, they were 'all cuddled up, kissy-wissy, giggly', which surprised the other cast members. The unaired date was not filmed by the MAFS camera crew, which is why viewers were unaware of the shift in their dynamic.
