Kylie Jenner was left visibly uncomfortable after BAFTAs host Alan Cumming directed a risqué joke at her during the ceremony. The reality TV star, attending with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, was offered a snack by Cumming, who asked: 'Kylie, have you ever had your gums around a giant Jammie Dodger?'
Jenner shook her head and took the sweet, appearing unamused by the double entendre. The joke received only a few laughs from the audience, and viewers at home also criticised Cumming's hosting style on social media, with some calling it 'painful' and 'toe-curlingly awkward'.
Cumming, 60, known for hosting the US version of The Traitors, hosted the BAFTAs at London's Royal Festival Hall for the first time. Some viewers suggested the scriptwriters were to blame for the flat jokes.
Later in the evening, Chalamet lost the Best Actor award to Robert Aramayo, who also won the Rising Star award for his role in I Swear. Other acting winners included Jessie Buckley, Wunmi Mosaku, and Sean Penn.
Jenner, 28, avoided the red carpet, reportedly to keep the focus on Chalamet and maintain their privacy. The couple have been together since 2023 and have made several award season appearances this year.
