Kelvin Fletcher, best known for his Strictly Come Dancing success, shares a fairytale romance with his childhood sweetheart, Liz. The couple, who have known each other since childhood, finally got together around 10 years ago and married in November 2015 at a stunning London wedding.
Despite recent headlines suggesting tension after Kelvin was pictured leaving a hotel with his Strictly partner Oti Mabuse, a source close to the couple revealed that Liz was not worried about infidelity but felt frustrated being left at home with the children while Kelvin enjoyed a night out. The source said: 'She was not worried about anything going on between them it was the fact that she was at home doing all the motherly things and here he was out gallivanting.'
Kelvin dedicated himself to a gruelling training schedule during Strictly, starting rehearsals at 5am and working 12-hour days with Oti. This took him away from Liz and their two children, Marnie and Milo. The couple have known each other since childhood, and Kelvin has expressed a desire to have at least five children.
Their wedding at One Mayfair in London was a magical affair, filled with white roses and candles. Kelvin told Hello magazine: 'I knew I wanted to marry Liz on the day I met her.' He added that seeing his bride walk down the aisle 'took my breath away.' Liz's close friend, former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, was also moved to tears upon seeing Liz in her wedding gown.
Kelvin proposed because the couple wanted to start a family, and he has said: 'We didn't need a piece of paper to prove anything because we know we love each other.' The couple now live a farm life, balancing their family and careers.
