Kelle Bryan Defends Meghan Markle After Netflix Show Appearance

Loose Women panellist Kelle Bryan has explained why she consistently defends Meghan Markle, revealing that she appeared in the couple's 2022 Netflix documentary. The 51-year-old told Woman's Own magazine that she feels sympathy for the Duchess of Sussex, who has spoken openly about experiencing suicidal thoughts while a senior royal.

Bryan, who has never met Meghan, said: 'I got featured in her documentary, so that was very nice. I've not met her, but I just feel for her.' She added that Meghan's transition into royal life 'cannot have been easy' and that the duchess 'didn't know it was going to be quite what it was'.

The comments come amid reports of tensions between the Sussexes and Netflix. Variety cited sources suggesting the partnership has not always been smooth, with concerns over audience figures and recurring themes about the couple's departure from royal duties. A representative for Harry and Meghan has denied claims that Netflix was surprised by their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, calling the assertion 'categorically false'.

Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria urged people not to 'believe whatever you read', stating that the platform still has a relationship with the couple and projects in development. Meghan recently announced that her lifestyle brand, As Ever, would end its collaboration with Netflix and continue independently.
