Johannes Radebe to Continue Dancing Despite Strictly Hosting Role

Johannes Radebe has confirmed he will not give up dancing despite his new role as a host on Strictly Come Dancing. The 39-year-old, who has been a professional dancer on the show since 2018, was announced as one of three new presenters alongside Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe.

In a behind-the-scenes video released by the BBC, Radebe reassured fans that he is not retiring from dance. When asked by Widdicombe how he felt about interviewing the dancers instead of competing, he replied: 'Listen, I'm not hanging up my dancing shoes as yet. That I'm definitely not doing. I cannot. I mean, what is my life without a cha cha cha?'

The announcement of the new hosting trio marks the first time in 13 years that Strictly has had three presenters. Willis and Widdicombe expressed their excitement and nerves about the upcoming series, with Widdicombe joking that being paired with two 'striking' people was an 'absolute disaster'.

Radebe, who was a runner-up in 2021 with John Whaite in the show's first male same-sex pairing, has been a fan favourite. Some viewers had expressed disappointment that he would no longer dance, but his latest comments suggest he will still perform.
