NFL star Joe Burrow and model Olivia Ponton have been seen together in New York City, appearing to confirm months of romance rumours. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, 28, and Sports Illustrated model, 23, were photographed enjoying a night out over the weekend.
The pair visited several celebrity hotspots in Manhattan before ending the night at Ponton’s apartment in the early hours, according to E! News. Burrow wore a backwards baseball cap, a blue sweatshirt-like t-shirt and jeans, while Ponton opted for black shorts and a white, collared front-tied shirt.
The sighting comes months after Burrow’s Cincinnati home was burglarised in December while he was away for a game. Ponton, who was at the property at the time, called police. A police report obtained by TMZ Sports noted that a 22-year-old female, later identified as Ponton, reported a “shattered bedroom window” and a “ransacked” room.
During a press conference after the robbery, Burrow said: “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one.” He added: “We live a public life, and one of my least favourite parts of that is the lack of privacy.” Sources later told People that the two had been “hooking up” since early autumn, keeping it casual.
Before the robbery sparked rumours with Ponton, Burrow had been in a long-term relationship with his college sweetheart, Olivia Holzmacher, since 2017. Fans speculated that the pair were engaged in 2023 after Holzmacher posted a photo featuring an engagement ring.
