Jimmy Bullard has broken his silence on the heated row with Adam Thomas during I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, claiming the worst of the argument was not shown on television. The former footballer took to Instagram to respond to a clip from Sinitta, who claimed she heard the C-word being shouted during the altercation. Bullard wrote: 'Wow thanks @thesinittaofficial shame that wasn’t shown! My version will be told Friday! Can’t wait to see you all….well some of yous!!'
The row erupted during a trial called Rancid Run, where campmates were paired up to retrieve cogs from an abacus. Bullard, paired with Thomas, refused to start the task, saying 'I’m a celebrity get me out of here.' Thomas reacted with disbelief, saying 'Are you joking me bro? Jim c’mon man.' Despite pleas from host Ant McPartlin to consider Thomas, Bullard continued to apologise but did not participate, leading to Thomas facing elimination.
Thomas, realising he was set to leave the show, angrily confronted Bullard, saying 'You f***ing taking the piss? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants.' Bullard told him to 'calm down,' but Thomas retorted with 'P***k. I have done all that for him…if you wanted to go, f***ing go. Don’t take me with you.' Bullard insisted he was 'not feeling it' and wanted to go home, while Thomas declared he was not a quitter. The argument escalated, with Bullard saying 'I choose when I come and when I go.'
Bullard left the show, and Thomas was allowed to stay after the hosts consulted with the remaining campmates. Thomas later addressed the row on social media, expressing concern about how it would be perceived. He wrote: 'For months, I didn’t know how any of this would be perceived. Even though I stood by every decision I made, there was always that little voice wondering how it would be shown, how it would be edited, how people would see me.' He added that the support from fans had brought him peace, saying 'I was never in it to win. I just refused to let them win by breaking me… Nothing but love.'
Bullard is now expected to attend the live final this Friday, despite earlier reports suggesting he might not. The reunion will see all campmates together for the first time since the incident.
