Jet2 has issued an urgent warning to holidaymakers travelling to and from four popular Italian destinations due to strike action by air traffic control staff. The industrial action, supported by ACC Roma, is scheduled to take place from 09:00 to 17:00 local time on Monday 11th May 2026.
The affected airports are Rome, Naples, Pisa, and Venice. Jet2 advised passengers that delays are possible for flights arriving and departing these locations during the strike period. The airline stated it is working to minimise disruption but warned travellers to be prepared for longer waits onboard aircraft.
Jet2 reminded passengers that check-in desks close 40 minutes before scheduled departure, and urged travellers to arrive at the airport no later than two hours before their flight. The airline will board all flights and close gates for on-time departure to allow aircraft to depart as soon as clearance is given.
Passengers are advised to keep their contact details updated in Manage My Booking and to check the Jet2 travel information page for real-time updates. The airline will contact customers if the situation changes.
