Jet2 has issued an urgent warning to holidaymakers travelling to and from four popular Italian destinations. The airline regularly keeps customers with bookings updated on travel disruptions, and earlier today (Monday) it announced that strike action by ACC Roma, an Italian Air Traffic Control company, is taking place from 09:00 to 17:00 (local time) on Monday 11th May 2026. This could cause delays to flights arriving and departing Rome, Naples, Pisa, and Venice.
Jet2 added that it is doing its best to minimise any disruption. Passengers are reminded that check-in desks close 40 minutes before scheduled departure, and travellers are urged to arrive at the airport no later than two hours before their flight. The airline stated: "We will be working hard to ensure that the impact on our flights is minimal. However, you may encounter some disruption if you are travelling during this time. Please be prepared for possible longer than normal waits onboard your aircraft to depart."
The airline continued: "We will board all flights and close all gates for an on-time departure. This will allow us to depart as soon as we are advised we can. Please make sure your contact details are up to date in Manage My Booking, and if the situation changes, our team will be in touch."
Passengers seeking the latest information are advised to visit the travel information page on the Jet2 website for real-time updates.
