Jessie J Faces Online Abuse After Sharing Heartbreak Over Hamas Hostage Video

Singer Jessie J has been targeted by online trolls after expressing her sadness over footage of an Israeli hostage held by Hamas. The 37-year-old musician shared images of emaciated captive Evyatar David, calling them 'heartbreaking' as he was forced to dig what appeared to be his own grave.

In an Instagram post to her 14 million followers, Jessie J wrote: 'I just cannot bear the evil in this world. Please, God, make the suffering end.' She also included a quote from a pro-Israel activist. However, the post sparked a torrent of abuse, with trolls branding her a 'disgusting Zionist' and a 'terrorist and baby killer supporter'.

The abuse comes shortly after the singer was rushed to hospital with an infection weeks after breast cancer surgery. Despite the vitriol, some followers showed support, thanking her for highlighting the horrors. One wrote: 'Thank you for speaking out about the actual horrors going on.'
