The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member Jessi Ngatikaura has publicly expressed profound regret and distress over her recent plastic surgery, stating that the procedures have "ruined my life" and damaged her career. In a candid TikTok video posted on Thursday, the reality star opened up about her dissatisfaction with the results of multiple cosmetic operations she underwent earlier this year.
Reality Star's Emotional Confession
Jessi Ngatikaura revealed that she underwent an upper and lower blepharoplasty along with facial fat grafting, among other cosmetic enhancements. However, she now admits to feeling "extremely unhappy" with the outcomes, confessing that she did not fully comprehend the procedures or their potential consequences at the time. "I didn't quite understand what I was getting into," she explained emotionally.
Negative Comments and Career Impact
While promoting the upcoming new season of SLOMW, Ngatikaura acknowledged that she is "rightfully" receiving negative comments about her altered appearance. She lamented, "This last surgery ruined my life. I look f***ing hideous in season five. It's ruined my career." The influencer and hair salon owner expressed particular concern over how her changed look might affect her professional opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Specific Procedure Regrets
Ngatikaura detailed her specific regrets, noting that she went in for a lower blepharoplasty but ended up also getting an upper blepharoplasty that she hadn't originally planned. She was especially troubled by the facial fat grafting, which she claims she didn't want and didn't fully understand. "I was originally told it would be a replacement for filler," she said, adding that the grafting went into her lips without her consent.
"It's made my lips really lumpy," Ngatikaura continued. "I have one that dips. I'm getting a lot of comments about my lip filler, and I agree, it looks awful. My face looks terrible." She has since tried to correct some of the issues by receiving Kybella injections to remove some of the fat, but this has left her looking swollen and feeling insecure.
Emotional Toll and Reflection
The reality star became visibly emotional during her TikTok confession, tearing up as she reflected on her previous appearance. "I'm really insecure," she admitted. "I understand that I look really different and I hate it. I look back at how I used to look [and] I watched season four and I'm like, 'Damn. I looked really good.' I wish I could have seen that."
Future Plans and Support
Ngatikaura vowed that she would never again make significant changes to her face "outside of Botox." Following her emotional post, she received support from her SLOMW co-star Miranda McWhorter, who commented, "Jessss. i'm so proud of you for consistently being so transparent and authentic regardless of how you felt about the results. You are beautiful then and now. I love you."
The upcoming season four of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be available to watch on Hulu starting March 12, featuring Ngatikaura with her post-surgery appearance that has caused her such distress and regret.
