Jennifer Garner to Star in and Produce Netflix Comedy ‘One Attempt Remaining’

Jennifer Garner is set to star in and produce a new Netflix comedy titled One Attempt Remaining, directed by Kay Cannon (Blockers). The film follows an ex-couple who, years after their acrimonious divorce, discover that the cryptocurrency they won on a cruise night is now worth millions—but they have forgotten the password. With just three days before the account expires, they must retrace their steps to find the password and rediscover why they fell in love.

The screenplay was written by Joe Boothe, Alexa Alemanni, and Cannon, based on a spec script from Boothe and Alemanni. The project was developed by 21 Laps and Linden Productions before being brought to Cannon. Producers include Shawn Levy and Dan Levine for 21 Laps, Nicole King for Linden Productions, and Garner. Executive producers are Cannon, Becca Edelman, Deanna Barillari, and Bergen Swanson.

Garner has a strong track record with Netflix, having starred in the family comedies Family Switch and Yes Day, the latter being the streamer's biggest Kids & Family film launch. She also appeared opposite Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, Netflix's fifth most popular film ever with 157.6 million views. Recently, she starred in and produced Apple's series The Last Thing He Told Me, which has been renewed for a second season.
