I'm A Celebrity South Africa Star Forced To Quit Camp Early

An I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! South Africa contestant has been forced to leave the camp on medical grounds, just days before the live final. The Mirror exclusively confirmed the departure, which airs during tonight's episode on ITV.

The star gathered their campmates to deliver the news, saying: “I’ve just got something to tell you all. I didn’t feel very well this morning… and the medics have advised I can’t return to camp. I’ve got to go home.” With tears in their eyes, they added: “I don’t want to go. I’m absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish.” The announcement left the camp in shock, with many tears and hugs before the star exited.

The unplanned departure leaves eight contestants vying to be crowned an I'm A Celeb “legend” in Friday's live final. They will take part in a trial called Rancid Run, previewed on Monday night. Further evictions are expected through the week, whittling the camp down to four for the final.

Monday night saw the evictions of David Haye and Gemma Collins. Last week, comedian Seann Walsh was the first to leave the series in South Africa. The All Stars instalment has seen former boxer David Haye criticised for his language in camp, including referring to his girlfriend as an “ugly duckling” and calling Adam Thomas “useless” after Thomas declined a trial due to illness.
