Adam Thomas has spoken out following his victory in the I'm A Celebrity... South Africa final, which was marred by on-screen arguments and walkouts. The actor, who was crowned Jungle Legend, took to Instagram to share a reflective post about his son Teddy, emphasising that family means more than trophies.
In the post, Thomas wrote about Teddy's success at dance competitions, saying: 'My boy came home this weekend with four trophies... but honestly, it wasn’t even about the trophies… it was his face. Just pure happiness.' He added: 'One thing I’ve learnt is as you get older you start to realise, it’s not about trophies or crowns. I already won a long time ago. Everything I need is right here.'
The final episode, which aired live in London last Friday, saw Thomas win while clashing with fellow campmates Jimmy Bullard and David Haye. Reports suggest that Haye was on his phone during ad breaks, allegedly dealing with an ongoing legal matter. The tension spilled over into the spin-off show, I'm A Celebrity Unpacked, where presenters were forced to ad-lib as the teleprompter became irrelevant.
Despite the drama, the final attracted 2.8 million viewers. However, ITV has confirmed that the All Stars format will not return until at least 2029. A source told The Sun: 'The aim was to deliver something as a special show from time to time, not an annual revisit.' The main I'm A Celebrity series will return as usual this November.
Celebrities have been taking sides in the fallout. Ashley Roberts expressed feeling 'upset and disappointed,' while Sinitta changed her stance to label Bullard and Haye as 'bullies.' Harry Redknapp compared the experience to the Jeremy Kyle Show.
