Two Harry Styles fans got engaged at the pop star's homecoming show in Manchester this week, with the moment captured by thousands of fans and going viral online.
Lewis Vosper, 24, proposed to his girlfriend Maeve Frances, 25, as the lights came up at the Emirates Old Trafford stadium. Videos and photos shared on TikTok have amassed over one million views.
The couple revealed that the proposal almost did not happen after Styles failed to play Maeve's favourite song, Fine Line, during the set. Lewis had planned to propose during that song but had to wait until the end of the show.
Lewis said: 'I had planned it all out to propose during Fine Line as I knew it was Maeve's favourite song. But when it didn't come on, I waited and thought, it's got to be now or never.'
Maeve, a student mental health nurse, said she initially thought Lewis was tying his shoelaces when he knelt down. She added: 'Everyone was screaming around us. It was such a massive blur.'
The couple, from Bodmin, Cornwall, described themselves as equally passionate Harry Styles fans. Lewis wore a blue necklace similar to one worn by Styles in his Golden music video.
