The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited humanitarian teams coordinating aid efforts in Jordan on the second day of their trip. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle toured the World Central Kitchen logistics hub in Amman, where teams are organising urgent food relief for Gaza.
Dressed in professional attire, the couple observed how mobile bakeries produce hundreds of thousands of loaves of bread daily for displaced communities. They also spoke via video call with a distribution leader at one of WCK's six field kitchens in Gaza, which provides daily hot meals for about 60 per cent of the population.
Harry and Meghan also visited the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA), a 40-bed facility offering medical withdrawal services and psychological support. During the visit, they wrote messages of support on post-it notes. Harry wrote: "It's ok not to be ok. Trust each other. Congratulations on your recovery. Now share your courage and experience." Meghan wrote: "Congratulations on your dedication to your care. Wishing you continued healing and happiness."
The couple travelled to Jordan at the invitation of the World Health Organisation's director-general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Promoting mental health support is a key theme of their trip.
