Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins celebrated in style at the Cheltenham Festival on Thursday after winning £5,000 from a £500 bet. The 45-year-old reality TV personality was seen cheering on the riders and punching the air in delight as she secured the jackpot on day three of the event.
Collins made a grand entrance, arriving by helicopter before heading to the Paddy Power suite, where she was joined by actor Danny Dyer and former footballer Peter Crouch. Despite strong winds reaching 50mph and rain, she posed confidently for cameras, wearing a pink and blue coat with a brown fur trim and a silk scarf tied around her head.
Speaking before her win, Collins said: 'Good morning everyone I am on my way to Cheltenham via helicopter, of course, with Paddy Power. I'm so excited I can't tell you.' She raised a glass to the camera before peering out of the window.
The helicopter ride marks a significant moment for Collins, who broke down in tears during a similar experience on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! twelve years ago. She recently explained her decision to face the fear again, stating: 'Do you know what? I have reached an age where it's like, fight the fear and do it anyway. Diamonds are literally made from pressure.'
Collins is set to appear on the upcoming I'm A Celebrity All Stars series, joining a cast including Adam Thomas, Sinitta, Seann Walsh, Ashley Roberts, Bev Callard, Mo Farah, David Haye, Craig Charles, Jimmy Bullard, and Harry Redknapp. The show will be hosted by Ant and Dec.
