I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! descended into chaos tonight as Gemma Collins dramatically fell out of her hammock. The Towie star sat down before swinging backwards, landing on the ground with her legs in the air. She let out a huge scream, with David Haye running over to assist.
Adam Thomas and Scarlett Moffatt burst into giggles as Gemma reassured everyone she was okay. Scarlett, who had been sharing an emotional moment with Adam about missing home, said: 'You know what, Gemma? We were nearly crying over here missing our kids, I’m on top of the world now!' Safely back in her hammock, Gemma responded: 'David Haye came to my rescue,' adding, 'I’m winning at life!'
Gemma's comments came after she was left fuming over David's frosty behaviour in the camp. After talking about how her hair is thick, David said: 'It definitely ain't thin.' Gemma was offended and told the cameras that the GC 'wouldn't take it' if they were back home. Fans were also shocked, with one saying: 'David is an absolute a***hole.' Another added: 'David really doesn't like Gemma.'
Gemma later told Adam that David was 'unwelcoming'. Adam tried to say he thought David was nice deep down, but noted a change in Gemma since Savannah Scrub. She explained it was 'the energy' and told the cameras she wished she was still in Savannah Scrub. 'I can't help it,' she told Adam. 'Maybe they've got to get used to me.'
Viewers also saw Gemma clash with Sinitta. During Thursday's episode, tension brewed as the singer said she thought the announcement that Gemma would follow her as Mama Morton in Chicago was a 'joke'. Gemma was due to play the role in 2022 but pulled out following a 'terrible injury'. Sinitta said: 'We were like 'is this like a joke announcement?' She added: 'I thought you were like Zsa Zsa Gabor... You don’t do anything, but you make a great entrance! You make everybody laugh, but I didn’t know you could actually sing and dance.'
Gemma appeared offended and said: 'I don’t think you’d get casted as Mama Morton in Chicago if you didn’t pass the audition.' She later told the cameras: 'I am not a joke. I was taken aback. It was just a bit weird.' Sinitta has since hit back at the 'nasty' backlash, saying ITV bosses 'edited out' parts of their conversation, and apologised to Gemma on Instagram.
