Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif has been compelled to abandon his home in Gaza after receiving direct threats from Israeli forces. The incident underscores the perilous conditions faced by media professionals reporting from conflict zones.
Al-Sharif, who works for the independent media outlet Hadhaf News, shared a video statement explaining how Israeli soldiers surrounded his residence and ordered him to leave immediately. "They told me, 'If you don't evacuate, we will bomb the house,'" he recounted.

"Journalists must be allowed to report on conflicts without fear of reprisal," a CPJ spokesperson stated. "Threatening reporters constitutes a violation of international law and undermines the public's right to information."
