Gary Sweet's Shocking Blind Date Revelation Stuns I'm a Celebrity Camp
In an upcoming episode of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, actor Gary Sweet has left his fellow campmates utterly astonished by disclosing a 'horrible' blind date he once had with supermodel Elle Macpherson. The 68-year-old star casually shared details about being set up with the famous beauty for a rendezvous 'years ago', creating a wave of surprise among the celebrity contestants.
The Awkward Encounter with 'The Body'
Gary Sweet recalled how he abruptly ended the date night after realising he had nothing in common with the cover girl, who is widely known as 'The Body'. Channel 10 has released a teaser clip of this shocking scene, which shows Rebekah Elmaloglou mentioning her own unsatisfactory encounter with the 61-year-old stunner before prompting Gary with the question: 'Have you got a story too?'
After admitting to the blind date, comedian Concetta Caristo inquired: 'Was it nice?' Gary responded bluntly: 'No! It was horrible. Someone set us up for a date in Perth years and years ago. I said, "Do you read any books?" She said, "No." Any movies you like? "Don’t go to the movies... okay."' He then revealed he cut things short, joking: '"Dessert! Thanks, see ya later!"'
Gary Sweet's Rise to Fame and Recent Jungle Exits
Known as a heartthrob during the peak of his 90s fame, Gary Sweet rose to stardom after portraying cricket legend Don Bradman in the 1984 Kennedy Miller mini-series Bodyline. He further cemented his popularity by playing the lead role in the ABC's hit action series Police Rescue, which aired from 1989 until 1996, winning fans both in Australia and internationally.
This revelation comes amid recent evictions from the jungle. Matt Zukowski, a 31-year-old Love Island Australia star, was the latest contestant to be booted after losing a final mini-trial. In his exit interview with hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, Matt reflected on his emotional journey, stating he enjoyed pushing himself out of his comfort zone and conquering his fear of heights. 'I just kept telling myself "Get it done, get those stars"', he said, with Robert praising him: 'You faced your fears, mate. You should be proud.'
Matt's eviction followed that of fellow contestant Rachel Hunter, a 56-year-old New Zealand model who was sent home after losing a guessing game to Matt. In her tearful exit interview, Rachel expressed disappointment but remained gracious, saying: 'It's an incredible group of people and it was hard because obviously many bonds were made.' Her co-stars lamented her departure, praising the incredible energy she brought to the camp. Rachel rose to fame in the 90s as a glamorous cover girl, appearing in publications like Sports Illustrated and Vogue.
