Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright was found dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand, an inquest has heard. The 33-year-old, from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, was discovered on March 14 in Phuket province, a hearing in Chelmsford was told on Tuesday.
Court co-ordinator Matthew Austin said Wright was spending time in Thailand and was found in a drainage ditch off Bang Thao 2 Alley, Choeng Thale sub-district. His body was repatriated to Essex, where a post-mortem at Basildon Hospital recorded the cause of death as awaiting toxicology results.
Essex senior coroner Lincoln Brookes opened and adjourned the inquest until September 14. He offered his deepest condolences to Wright's family and friends. Wright had moved to Thailand in January, according to an Instagram post, and his final post on March 6 showed snippets from his time in Phuket.
Wright appeared on TOWIE in 2018 and MTV's Ex On The Beach. Tributes were paid on his last Instagram post, including from fellow TOWIE star Chloe Brockett, who wrote: 'Rest in peace Jordan.'
