Emmerdale Star Isabel Hodgins 'Exhausted' by Final Scenes After 19 Years

Emmerdale actress Isabel Hodgins has revealed she felt 'ready to leave' the soap after nearly two decades, as she filmed her final scenes while pregnant. The 32-year-old, who has played Victoria Sugden since 2006, described feeling exhausted from the daily commute between Manchester and Leeds.

In an interview, Hodgins admitted she expected to be emotional but found herself surprisingly calm. 'I thought I would be really emotional when I filmed my final scenes. Emmerdale is all I have ever known. But pregnancy does funny things to you and the truth is I felt ready not to have to film on Emmerdale,' she said.

Her character Victoria was revealed as the killer of her long-lost brother John Sugden, who died after being stabbed with a syringe. In upcoming scenes, Victoria will hand herself into the police. Hodgins noted that bosses have left the door open for her return, telling her it was 'up to me when I come back'.
