Brooklyn Beckham attended his godfather Sir Elton John's annual Oscars viewing party on Sunday night, hours after failing to publicly acknowledge his mother Victoria on Mother's Day. The 26-year-old aspiring chef was seen posing for photographs with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham at the star-studded event, which raises funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Brooklyn and Nicola, who wore a matching black suit and gown respectively, arrived alongside celebrities including Dua Lipa and her fiancé Callum Turner, as well as Sharon and Jack Osbourne. The couple's appearance came after Brooklyn shared a birthday message for his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz on Saturday, writing: 'Happy birthday to the best mother in law x. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.'
Meanwhile, David Beckham posted a heartfelt Mother's Day tribute to his wife Victoria on Instagram, describing her as 'the most amazing mummy' and 'an inspiration'. Victoria commented on the post: 'I love you all so much.' Brooklyn's absence from the family's online celebrations follows his estrangement, which he detailed in a six-page Instagram statement in January accusing his parents of controlling media narratives and prioritising public image over private relationships.
Brooklyn has missed several recent family events, including David's 50th birthday and his investiture at Windsor Castle. He also did not appear in Victoria's Netflix docuseries. The couple, who live in Los Angeles, have been increasingly distant from the Beckham family, with sources suggesting tensions over Brooklyn's marriage and career choices.
