Strictly's Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg warn over AI baby photo

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell and her partner Joe Sugg have spoken out against a fake AI-generated image of them with their unborn baby. The couple, who announced in September that they are expecting a baby boy, were forced to address the misleading photo after friends and family believed Dianne had given birth.

Joe took to social media to share his concern, revealing that he woke up to messages from loved ones congratulating him on the news. In a video, he showed the AI image, which features a distorted version of the couple holding a baby, and said: 'This is AI. Look, that's not me. I don't know who that is, but it's not me.' He then moved aside to reveal a 'very much pregnant' Dianne standing beneath the fake image.

'That's not Dianne, that's not our baby, although I do hope he's that cute… he's not here,' Joe added. 'AI, it's getting scary.' In the caption, he wrote: 'I worry for the Facebook generation sometimes with all this AI malarkey.'

Dianne's Strictly co-stars reacted with amusement, with Gorka Marquez joking: 'Is okay guys according to AI news we are pregnant again and got married last week in secret wedding.' Fans also expressed shock, with one commenting: 'It's so weird that someone even thought to make this picture in the first place.' Another added: 'You've had 3 babies in the past week according to Facebook!'

This is not the first time the couple has had to address intrusive behaviour. During Dianne's time on Strictly, she faced criticism over her decision to take part in the competition while pregnant. In October, Joe also teased that they have chosen a unique name for their son, describing it as one that 'can be shortened' and is 'quite unique'.
