Colin McFarlane, known for his role as Anton Burrage in Death in Paradise, is set to reunite with Kris Marshall in the upcoming series of Beyond Paradise. McFarlane originally appeared opposite Marshall's character, DI Humphrey Goodman, during his time as the principal detective in Saint Marie.
The new series of Beyond Paradise will air later this month on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Alongside McFarlane, guest stars include Susan George, Phil Daniels, Michael Cochrane, Melanie Walters, and Vincent Franklin. Returning regulars include Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, Barbara Flynn, Felicity Montagu, Jamie Bamber, Melina Sinadinou, Eva Feiler, and Phil Daniels.
The synopsis reveals that DI Humphrey Goodman and the team will investigate the death of a novelist who predicted their own demise, a Dark Morris night that turns sour, a stolen treasure map that reappears, and a sighting of a vengeful mermaid. Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha navigate married life and search for a new home, while Humphrey faces a decision that could change the station forever.
The series also features Tristan Sturrock, Andrea Lowe, Rachel Cassidy, Emily Stott, Rina Mahoney, Susan Penhaligon, James Clay, Kenneth Collard, and Narinda Samra. The Paradise franchise continues to thrive, with Death in Paradise series 15 currently airing and Australian spin-off Return to Paradise having recently concluded its second series.
