David Haye has spoken out following his explosive row with Adam Thomas on I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, after viewers accused the former boxer of crossing a line. The clash occurred when Haye challenged Thomas over his reluctance to take on a Bushtucker trial, leading to accusations of bullying on social media.
Haye, who was voted out of camp by his fellow celebrities in Tuesday's episode, insisted there is no bad blood between them. 'No bad blood from my side,' he said. 'I've been immersed in tough boxing gyms since I was ten years old. So when a grown man tells me that a fun TV show - where we're being paid handsomely every single day - is the hardest thing he's ever been through, it's just not a frequency I recognise.'
The heavyweight champion claimed he was 'on his best behaviour' during the series and that further footage would speak for itself. 'I've spoken to Adam, I've said my piece, and some of what's still to air will speak for itself,' he added.
Adam Thomas later addressed the row on social media, admitting that Haye had 'broken him' but revealing that the boxer had apologised. Thomas urged fans not to send hate to Haye, writing: 'Guys, the love you have shown me fills my heart, thank you for all your kind words. But also in a world full of hate... let's just be kind people! I don't like seeing all the negative comments about David, I've made peace with it let's just move on.'
