In the background of one photo, an episode of the classic sitcom Friends was visible, and the former footballer captioned the post: "Working out with my FRIENDS & IM8 of course", also promoting his supplement drink IM8.
The official Instagram account for the sitcom commented with a reference to the theme song: "we’ll be there for you." Other fans posted GIFs from the show.
The post comes amid a public feud with his eldest son Brooklyn, who earlier this year released a scathing statement on social media slamming his parents and claiming he has no plans to reconcile. Brooklyn accused his family of prioritising "Brand Beckham" over personal relationships.
