Cruz Beckham's Cardiff concert marred by ticket blunder labelling city 'England'

Cruz Beckham’s Cardiff concert was overshadowed by an embarrassing geographical error on souvenir tickets, which incorrectly listed the Welsh capital as being in England. The tickets, distributed to the audience at Clwb Ifor Bach on Friday, read: “Cruz Beckham and the Breakers: Live at Clwb Ifor Bach. Cardiff, England, UK.”

The 21-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham is currently on his first headline tour with his band. The Cardiff gig was their only Welsh date, held at a venue renowned for promoting Welsh culture. Audience member Jason Erickson, 52, told the BBC he was surprised by the mistake, saying: “You would expect them to pick something like that up... being the only Welsh gig.”

Erickson, a proud Welshman, said the error did not upset him but hoped it was an oversight, given the band’s other UK dates are in England. The irony was not lost on fans, as Clwb Ifor Bach is a popular Welsh-language venue. The Independent has contacted the band’s representatives and the venue for comment.
