Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has shared a heartwarming Father's Day message to his dad Paul, an Emmerdale director. The 12-year-old actor, known for playing Sam Blakeman on the ITV soap, relied on his mother to post the tribute on Instagram, as he is too young to have his own social media account.
The post featured two images of the father-son duo, with a caption that read: 'HFD to all, especially the best @paulrio27 #happyfathersday #thebest'. Fans quickly praised the young actor for his sweet gesture, with comments such as 'Have a lovely day with your Dad, Jude' and 'Beautiful photos'.
Jude has won acclaim for his portrayal of grieving Sam, who dealt with the tragic loss of his mother Natasha, gunned down by Harvey Gaskell. In 2021, he broke records by becoming the youngest ever winner of the National Television Award for Best Newcomer. His character has since been involved in dramatic storylines, including sending secret letters to his mother's killer in prison.
Jude, from St Helens, Merseyside, has been acting since the age of five. His father Paul has worked extensively behind the camera, directing episodes of Emmerdale, Casualty, and Coronation Street, as well as early work on Hollyoaks.
