Reality television star Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison, best known for his role on the hit series Pawn Stars, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign following a devastating motorcycle accident in Tulum, Mexico, in January 2026. The incident left him with severe injuries, including 11 fractured ribs and a punctured lung, resulting in extensive medical costs exceeding $100,000.
Severe Injuries and Life-Saving Surgeries
Harrison's accident necessitated immediate medical intervention, with the star undergoing three life-saving surgeries to address his critical condition. He spent a total of 32 days in hospital, during which he faced mounting expenses that quickly depleted his personal savings. His friend, Aron Chambers, recounted the challenging ordeal of transporting Harrison to a more affordable hospital in Mexico to manage the financial burden.
Financial Struggles and Fundraising Efforts
With medical bills accumulating and ongoing follow-up care and medication required, Harrison turned to crowdfunding for support. The GoFundMe campaign aims to raise £18,000 to cover these costs, and it has already garnered nearly £5,000 in donations from supporters. This move comes after Harrison announced in 2025 that he would not renew his contract with Pawn Stars, adding to the financial pressures he now faces.
The accident highlights the unpredictable nature of such incidents and the significant financial strain they can impose, even on public figures. Harrison's story serves as a reminder of the importance of community support in times of crisis, as he continues his recovery journey with the help of generous contributions.
