Claudia Winkleman was forced to apologise after accidentally swearing live on air during a radio appearance on Friday morning. The presenter, known for her work on Strictly Come Dancing, appeared on Heart Radio's breakfast show with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston.
During the segment, a young boy named Finley was invited to interview Winkleman. After the interview, Winkleman thanked him and the show went to an ad break. However, before the break ended, Winkleman was heard saying: "Oh no! For f***'s sake!" Realising she was still on air and that Finley was still watching via video link, she quickly apologised, shouting: "Oh no, Finley's still there! I'm so sorry!"
The studio erupted in laughter, with Holden reassuring Winkleman that "I bet mummy swears." Winkleman later expressed her embarrassment over the incident.
The gaffe comes shortly after the launch of Winkleman's new BBC One chat show, which has received mixed reviews. Graham Norton, whose production company produces the show, defended Winkleman, saying: "What Claudia did was the Claudia Winkleman show... She shouldn't be trying to be me. She should be trying to be Claudia, and she nailed that."
