Christy Turlington proved she was as stunning as ever during a rare public appearance at the Broadway opening night of Celebrity Autobiography on Monday. The 57-year-old supermodel looked nearly as fresh-faced as she did at the height of her popularity in the 1990s as she posed on the red carpet with her husband, actor Ed Burns, 58.
Star-Studded Event
They were joined by a bevy of stars for opening night, including Tom Hanks, Gayle King, Bryan Cranston, Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson, and more. The event marked the upgrade of Celebrity Autobiography to Broadway, nearly three decades after its premiere at Los Angeles's Book Soup in 1998. The show features a rotating cast of celebrity narrators who read aloud from the memoirs of other stars for comedic effect.
Turlington's Red Carpet Look
For her opening-night look, Turlington mixed casual fashion with haute couture, wearing a gorgeous plunging black dress draped with a denim jacket. The catwalk star opted for minimal makeup, classic black pumps, and tied her brunette hair back in a bun. Burns complemented her jacket with a dark blue suit and a tie-free white shirt, sporting a thick salt-and-pepper beard for a rugged look.
Other Celebrities' Attire
Gayle King, featured on stage in the production, showed off her figure with a black off-the-shoulder dress adorned with a red floral flourish. She was joined by Tom Hanks, whose wife Rita Wilson performed alongside King. Hanks wore a classic black double-breasted suit without a tie. Wilson hit the red carpet separately in a shimmering satin and lace slip dress with a matching jacket.
Nia Vardalos, writer and star of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, added color with a plunging black minidress decorated with roses, paired with black stockings and pointed black heels. Bryan Cranston opted for a dress-casual look with a charcoal sport coat, dark jeans, and dark suede shoes, while his wife Robin Dearden looked elegant in a white blouse, black slacks, and mule heels.
News icon Katie Couric beamed in a casual white button-up top tucked into a pleated tan skirt, accompanied by her husband John Moiner in a dark blue plaid sport coat, tan chinos, and navy suede sneakers. Kenan Thompson wore a black shacket, matching black jeans, and black-and-white Air Jordans, accessorized with a silver cross necklace and black sunglasses. He reunited with former SNL co-star Bobby Moynihan, who wore a lustrous black suit with a driving cap and blue-framed glasses.
Sex and the City star Mario Cantone sported a dark blue tonal-pinstriped suit with a matching blue shirt and floral tie. TCM host Ben Mankiewicz chose a black suit with black leather-topped sneakers and no tie. Scott Adsit of 30 Rock fame wore a casual black button-up shirt untucked with golden-brown pants and brown suede shoes. Andrea Martin cut a classy figure in a black midi dress with matching heels and tortoiseshell sunglasses. Comic actor Jeff Hiller stood out in a navy cardigan with brown plaid trousers and chunky black shoes, while actress Jackie Hoffman wore an eye-catching black sack dress with abstract golden designs and tall black boots.
