Chris Brown and Usher have announced a joint tour, dubbed the 'Raymond & Brown' tour, in a social media post on Friday. The Grammy-winning singers shared the news on Instagram with a video showing them riding motorcycles at night before arriving at a packed stadium. 'It's time,' Usher says in the clip, to which Brown responds, 'Hell yeah.'
The announcement comes just hours after Brown released his new single 'Obvious,' taken from his forthcoming studio album 'Brown,' which is set for release on 8 May. Brown, 36, has toured consistently since 2022, including his 'Under the Influence' tour in 2023, his '11:11' tour in 2024, and his 'Breezy Bowl XX' anniversary tour last year.
Brown has faced controversy over meet-and-greet prices in the past, charging fans thousands of dollars. He defended the costs in 2022, stating on Instagram that VIP packages are standard and that he appreciates his fans. He is also known for inviting fans on stage for suggestive dancing.
Usher, 47, concluded his 'Past Present Future' tour last May, which supported his ninth studio album 'Coming Home.' Last month, he made headlines for defending Sean 'Diddy' Combs, saying that while he acknowledges flaws, Combs made valuable contributions as a Black entrepreneur and businessman.
