The BBC has confirmed the line-up for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors, with 21 famous faces set to enter the castle. Host Claudia Winkleman will welcome a diverse group of celebrities, including BAFTA and BRIT award winners, actors, comedians, presenters, and social media stars. They will compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for their chosen charities.
The series, produced by Studio Lambert Scotland, will air on BBC One and iPlayer later in 2026. The first series, which debuted in October 2025, was a major success, averaging 14.9 million viewers across its run, with a peak of 15.4 million for the finale. It became the top entertainment episode across the market since 2016 and the number one series across all genres and platforms in 2025.
The fourth series of the original The Traitors, which aired in January 2026, also performed strongly, achieving a 12.5 million 28-day average—up 22% on the third series. BBC iPlayer drove 53% of its viewing, with 6.6 million viewers, an increase of 28% on the previous series.
The second series of The Celebrity Traitors (10 x 60 minutes) was commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC. Executive producers are Mike Cotton, Sarah Fay, Lewis Thurlow, and Katy Fox, with production executives Lynette Woods-Reynolds, Gemma Scholes, and Faye Donaldson. BBC commissioning editors are Neil McCallum and Michael Jochnowitz.
The Traitors format was created and developed by IDTV in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit. All3Media International handles global format and tape sales, with Studio Lambert as part of All3Media.
