Shelley Conn, known for playing Lady Mary Sharma in Netflix's Bridgerton, has joined the cast of a new ITV drama titled Adultery. The six-part series, described as a 'provocative love story', is expected to air later this year on ITV1 and stream on ITVX.
The show follows two married parents, Tom and Beth, who meet while their teenage children are dating. As they struggle with their desires, they must grapple with guilt and potential consequences for their families. The series explores themes of class, grief, and social media's impact.
Conn portrays Hannah, wife of Tom, played by Dominic Cooper. The cast also includes Romola Garai as Beth, Matthew McNulty as her husband Neil, Andrew Knott as Dave, and James Murray as Paul. Former Emmerdale actress Charley Webb plays Tom's sister-in-law Leah Kirkman.
Created by Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once, Brassic) and produced by Poison Pen Studios, Adultery promises a rollercoaster of passion, parenthood, and peril. Conn told Digital Spy the structure is original, with overlapping relationships adding depth.
