A blind date took an unexpected turn when a karaoke host rallied the crowd to chant for a kiss, leading to a peck on stage between strangers Zoe and Alex. The pair, who met at the London restaurant Fire & Wine, later moved to a pub for karaoke, where the spectacle unfolded.
During their dinner, the couple discussed voice notes, why the television series 'Normal People' should be classified as a horror, and their carefully curated funeral playlists. Zoe described Alex as 'super cute' and wondered about his skincare regime, while Alex compared Zoe to pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
After the restaurant closed, they headed to a pub for karaoke. Alex said: 'The karaoke host got the crowd to chant “kiss, kiss, kiss”. We couldn’t let the people down…' Zoe added: 'Yes – we pecked on stage after much heckling from the crowd.'
Alex praised Zoe's rendition of Madonna's 'Like a Prayer,' while Zoe gave Alex a 5/5 for karaoke. Alex said Zoe 'radiates positivity' and 'lights up every room she enters.' Zoe described Alex as 'a total gent and a great conversationalist.'
When asked what they would change about the evening, Zoe mentioned the temperature, saying she was 'boiling.' Alex, being extremely picky, wished for an option to have orange wine at the restaurant.
