David and Victoria Beckham have led birthday tributes to their son Cruz as he turned 21, amid a continuing rift with their eldest son Brooklyn. The musician, who is preparing to tour with his band The Breakers, celebrated the milestone today, prompting heartfelt messages from his parents.
David, 50, shared a childhood video of Cruz on social media, accompanied by a sweet tribute. Victoria, 51, also posted a video, expressing how 'proud' she was of the 'sweet, kind, talented young man' Cruz has become. David wrote: 'Not so little anymore but the proudest thing that I am of you is the person and man that you have become... We love you Cruzie.'
Meanwhile, Brooklyn, 26, who does not follow Cruz on social media, has not acknowledged his brother's birthday. He was spotted at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival in Miami, Florida, promoting his hot sauce brand Cloud23. The event cost £200 a ticket.
The tributes come after Victoria revealed that Cruz had accidentally cut off the end of his finger in a gruesome incident. The family's celebration is overshadowed by Brooklyn's public declaration last month that he does not wish to reconcile with his parents.
Brooklyn has also reportedly blocked celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, a longtime family friend and godfather to his sister Harper, after Ramsay suggested Brooklyn should not forget his roots and implied his wife Nicola Peltz was behind the division. Brooklyn has since unfollowed Ramsay's eldest daughter Holly and her twin brother Jack on social media.
