Karishma Vijay, a finalist on the current series of The Apprentice, has announced her engagement to her long-term boyfriend. The 28-year-old entrepreneur and beauty brand founder shared photos of the romantic beach proposal on Instagram on Tuesday evening, captioning the post with 'Hardest soft launch' and a ring emoji.
Fellow contestants and friends were quick to congratulate her, with Roxanne Hamedi writing, 'So happy for you both!!! AHHHH screaming crying,' and Nikki Jetha adding, 'Omg this is beautiful!! So so happy for you both! Congratulations.' Fans also flooded the comments with well wishes, with one saying, 'You have captured our hearts young lady, congratulations.'
The final of the 20th series of The Apprentice airs on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer, where Karishma will compete against Pascha Myhill for Lord Sugar's investment. Karishma is seeking investment for her skincare-infused beauty brand, Kishkin, while Pascha is looking for backing for her private healthcare recruitment company.
Pascha, who was 21 at the time of filming, making her one of the youngest contestants ever, spoke of the significance of an all-female final. She told The Mirror, 'It’s inspiring for young women... I’ve learned so much being on The Apprentice... Don’t let anyone tear you down.'
