Elle Fanning's co-star Michael Angarano has revealed that rehearsals for their sex scenes in the upcoming Apple TV+ series 'Margot's Got Money Troubles' left him feeling 'sore'. The show, based on the novel by Rufi Thorpe, follows Fanning's character Margo Millet, a pregnant OnlyFans star.
Angarano, who plays Margo's junior college professor and the father of her child, described the preparations as 'stunt rehearsals'. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, he said: 'We had rehearsals that were for our sex scenes — but they called it stunt rehearsals — and it was actually kind of fun thinking of it like stunt work. I was sore after.' He added that the experience was a 'bonding experience' between the two actors.
The actor, who has known Fanning as a friend, said he was 'really excited to do it with her because it's such a complicated relationship'. He praised the show for presenting 'very dysfunctional, flawed people, but doesn't really judge them'. The series also stars Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman.
In an interview with Elle magazine, Fanning revealed that production set up an OnlyFans account for her to understand the platform. She said: 'There was a lot of looking at OnlyFans with the writers, but we all gave consent to each other before we did it. We were very responsible and we just tried to get as much information as we could before we started.'
'Margot's Got Money Troubles' is set to stream on Apple TV+ from 15 April 2026.
