Reality television personality Amy Childs showcased her slender physique in a vibrant yellow bikini as she embarked on a sun-soaked family holiday this Wednesday. The 35-year-old star, who recently opened up about stress leading to unintended weight loss, promptly changed into her swimwear upon arrival at an undisclosed tropical destination.
Family Getaway and Airport Excitement
Amy was accompanied by her fiancé Billy Delbosq, their two-year-old twins Billy and Millie, her seven-year-old son Ritchie from a previous relationship, and her eight-year-old daughter Polly. She shared a joyful video of the family walking through the airport, captioning it with enthusiasm about escaping the dreary British weather and creating lasting memories with her children.
"And we are off… so excited to get away and make memories with the kids, this weather is just so depressing here," Amy wrote on social media. "A well needed break then full on when we are back getting everything wedding ready."
Gratitude and Travel Essentials
In a separate post, Amy expressed her appreciation to IT Luggage for providing their suitcases, emphasising that it was not a sponsored advertisement but a genuine endorsement of the brand's quality.
Weight Loss Journey and Fitness Goals
The Only Way Is Essex star has been transparent about her recent health struggles, explaining how battling stress resulted in her losing "a little more weight than I wanted." This admission came as she embarked on a dedicated fitness mission to regain strength and tone her body ahead of her upcoming wedding to Billy Delbosq later this year.
Amy sparked concern among fans last year and has since committed to gaining healthy muscle mass. She revealed that she previously felt overweight and unhappy, but now aims to achieve a more balanced physique through proper nutrition and exercise.
Social Media Transparency
Sharing a candid before-and-after photo on Instagram, Amy wrote: "Can’t believe I’m uploading this picture but here goes. The journey so far. So I have to be honest with you all—I was overweight and unhappy and wanted to achieve..."
She continued: "So I decided to lose weight, during that process, I battled with stress and lost a little more than I wanted, and now I am working with a nutrition coach to start phase two!! Which I am so excited about."
Challenges and Support System
Amy acknowledged that gaining muscle has proven more challenging than losing weight, but praised her coach for his expertise and support. She emphasised her goal to increase muscle mass, gain healthy weight, and become more toned, promising to keep followers updated on her progress.
The mother-of-four previously disclosed that incorrect training methods and losing two stone had caused her to lose significant muscle mass. Her journey has been further complicated by personal hardships, including her brother Billy's recent hospitalisation following a serious car accident.
Emotional Struggles and Public Scrutiny
In an emotional interview with OK! Magazine, Amy addressed the cruel trolling she has received regarding her weight loss, attributing it to overwhelming stress. She explained that constant worry about her mother's health after a heart attack, combined with parenting four young children, has taken a toll.
"I'm going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me," she confessed. "I worry about my mum constantly. She's very emotional—she thinks she's going to have another heart attack. People think I'm not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I'm a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There's so much going on at the minute—it's the result of pure stress."
Despite these challenges, Amy remains focused on her wedding preparations and health goals, using her platform to promote body positivity and honest discussions about mental and physical wellbeing.
