Housing Secretary Steve Reed has firmly stated that the United Kingdom is safe and secure, despite recent alarming warnings about Iran's advanced long-range missile capabilities. This declaration follows a significant incident where Iran launched two ballistic missiles towards the British-US military base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
Missile Attack and Defensive Response
In a concerning development, one of the missiles was successfully intercepted by a US warship, while the other failed to reach its target. Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper swiftly condemned Iran's actions, labelling them as "reckless threats" that endanger regional stability.
