A group of tourists were left disappointed after being refused entry to the church used for Venezuela Fury's wedding at the weekend. The 16-year-old daughter of Tyson and Paris Fury married Noah Price at the Victorian Royal Chapel of St John's on the Isle of Man, with the church closed to visitors on Saturday morning.
A notice posted on the door read: 'Sorry, church closed today.' This left a coachload of holidaymakers bitterly disappointed after arriving to view the interior, only to be turned away. Upon learning whose wedding was taking place, several members of the group were heard asking: 'Who's that?'
One coach passenger told MailOnline: 'It's a shame we couldn't go in. I'm actually a florist and wanted to see what the decorations were like inside. I don't know how they can close it up. I heard it's supposed to be lovely inside, but we shall have to give it a miss. I've heard of Mike Tyson but not Tyson Fury.'
The wedding reception featured a performance by nineties pop icon Peter Andre, but celebrations took an unexpected twist when four police cars reportedly descended on the Comis Hotel near Douglas. The 16-year-old's age has sparked considerable debate, with many feeling she is too young to marry.
However, mum Paris defended her daughter's choice, saying: 'Venezuela is so mature for her years. She's done so much in such a short time just because of who she is and the fact that she's got six younger brothers and sisters that she's helped bring up. I can't deny her, because I was 17 when I got engaged.'
