A woman who spent years battling frizzy hair finally found a solution in a daily routine costing just 72p. Merwave's Wavy Hair Starter Kit, priced at £65, has sold around 180,000 kits and earned more than 4,000 five-star reviews.
Survey reveals hidden waves
According to a survey of 1,382 women by Merwave, almost half (47%) did not realise their hair was naturally wavy. Many people who think they have frizzy or unruly hair may actually have hidden waves waiting to be defined.
Signs of wavy hair include hair that appears wavy when wet but dries straight, straightened styles that quickly develop bends or kinks, and frizz that resists smoothing products.
The five-step kit
The £65 kit (worth £85) includes a shampoo, conditioner, Wave Cream, Cast Foam, and Protect Gel. Merwave says the products last about 90 days, working out at 72p per day. The brand recommends the bundle for bringing out natural waves without heat styling.

However, one customer noted packaging issues: "I'm finding the new packaging inconvenient. The tubs mean you have to stick your hand in and scoop out as much as you need. But it's difficult to judge, and you end up with product under your nails."
